Rethinking Online Education pt. 2

For those of you who missed the last Committee for Online instruction meeting on November 9, here’s a link to Doug Hersh’s Quicktime video presentation on Rethinking Online Education part 2. As before, you’ll need the FREE quicktime plugin to watch this 32 minute video as well as a high speed Internet connection. Note, parts of the picture in this video are poor not due to the presentation itself but to the artifacts created by products that are compressed for streaming over the Internet.

I’ve also posted a link to a PDF file that Doug gave to faculty members at the end of the presentation which was a bulleted list of thoughts he presented in his video.

Rethinking Online Education

For those of you who were unable to attend the last Committee for Online Instruction (COI) meeting on October 26th, here’s a link to Doug Hersh’s (new Online College dean) 10 minute presentation on “Rethinking Online Education.” Be sure to attend this week’s COI meeting on Friday, November 9th, at BC 214 from 12 noon to 2 pm to hear/see Doug’s suggestions/strategies for the Online College.
