Faculty Development Programs

Professional growth is the self-regulated, continual intellectual and skill development of faculty. SBCC has a variety of activities in which faculty members can participate, e.g., flex activities, work in the gateway courses, participate as a mentor or mentee for other less experienced faculty.

Gateway Program(grant funded)

Online Institute

The Online Institute is a series of ongoing workshops designed to help teachers learn to teach online using an online course management system, i.e, WebCT. Though the WebCT course system is utilized, the focus is on issues regarding course design and teaching strategies.
