Technology-based
training is available in a variety of forms, e.g., in-person, web-based,
CD-ROM with different foci, and is offered through a number of different
departments on campus.

The FRC offers
both in-person, small group training, individual in-person training,
and web-based, individual self-paced training in using computer technology
and the WWW as a supplement to teaching in the traditional classroom
or online, i.e, as in an online classroom. Choose one of the links

Training (Staff Resource Center)
Computer applications'
training is provided to faculty and staff through a variety of areas
[see options below]. The difference between applications' training
and the training above is the focus. Applications' training generally
focuses on learning the mechanics of the software while the computers
and pedagogy training focuses to a lesser degree on the mechanics
and more on the pedagogical aspects of using the software
Technology-Mediated
Classrooms (Media Services Department)
A number of classrooms
have faculty computer stations and data projectors installed so that
faculty can make presentations, etc. The Media Services' department
maintains a list of classrooms where this equipment is stationed and
provides training to faculty in how to use this equipment. Additionally,
the Media Services department's staff can provide instruction in using
other forms of audio visual equipment such as slide projectors, audio
cassette recorders, etc.
