SHARING WEB SITES - in posts and email

Probably the two most common web companies that shorten a web site address in their massive databases are tinyurl.com or bit.ly.  Most of us have heard of them but here’s how it works.  You post your web address in their systems to shorten the longer web address.  TinyURL requires no account sign-up while bit.ly does.  However, bit.ly has an interface to post your new shortened address directly to Twitter.
