About

Mission: The mission of the Faculty Resource Center (FRC) is to provide instructional consultation and support to educational program faculty and departments so that students can successfully achieve their course and institutional student learning outcomes (SLOs).

The FRC serves the mission of the college by providing the following services to faculty and staff: (Here’s a link to the FRC SLO descriptions).

1. Pedagogically-focused training for those faculty interested in improving teaching techniques or who want to make use of technology in any classroom environment – (SLO 1) - (David, Mark, Karen, Rob, Jeff, & Laurie)

2. Consultation and advisement about teaching strategies, technologies selection, and creation of universally-designed course materials – (SLO 2) – (Mark, Laurie, Karen, Rob & David)

3. Development or support of development of instructional materials for teachers - (SLO 3) – (David, Karen, Jeff & Rob)

4. Exploration of new technologies for teaching in the classroom. – (SLO 4) – (Mark, Laurie, David, & Karen)

5. Leadership in making recommendations to faculty and the administration about technology initiatives – (SLO 5) – (Mark, Laurie, David, & Karen) Mark and Laurie are represented on college committees, David on ITC and other college workgroups, and Karen on college workgroups.
